Tomoko Yoneda
Tomoko Yoneda creates complex works with references to contemporary history and human conflict. He looks for past events with an almost anthropological approach, events that he did not witness and uses photography to bring them to the present. His images of landscapes and interiors may at first glance seem like beautiful places without any meaning. However, after reading the captions, these photographs become somewhat more complex and worrying: they are sites of human catastrophes. Yoneda has chosen to depict places associated with war and, in particular, sites linked to the First and Second World Wars, the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Cold War. Born in Akashi in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan in 1965, Tomoko Yoneda studied photography at the University of Illinois at Chicago and later at the Royal College of Art in London. He currently resides in London and Helsinki.

Estudio Laterna is an interdisciplinary design space based in Ibiza that integrates landscape architecture with a strong artistic approach. The studio was founded in 2004 by Andrea Sánchez and Ricardo Jarpa. The landscape architectural designs are led by Andrea with a team of landscape architects, biologists and artists. The application of the designs is directed by Ricardo with a team of professional gardeners and artisans. Together they create an alternative form of landscape architectural practice that unites design and exploration, pushing boundaries, connecting nature and its realms, speaking the ever evolving language of the more-than-human. This intertwining was the leitmotif that also inspired them to create Estudio Laterna Art Gallery, a nest of art in the heart of Ibiza island, manifesting a new perspective for local communities and international artists. Estudio Laterna is also developing other creative projects such as Kossmun, an experimental outdoor furniture brand.

Estudio Laterna es un espacio de diseño interdisciplinar establecido en Ibiza que integra la arquitectura del paisaje con un intenso abordaje artístico. Fundado en 2004 por Andrea Sánchez y Ricardo Jarpa. Todos los diseños de paisajismo son liderados por Andrea junto a un equipo de arquitectos paisajistas, biólogos y artistas. La aplicación de los diseños es dirigida por Ricardo con un equipo profesional de jardineros y artesanos. Ellos crean una forma alternativa de Arquitectura del paisaje que une diseño y exploration, atravesando fronteras, conectando la naturaleza y sus reinos, hablando el idioma siempre evolutivo de lo mas-que-humano. Ésta interconexión los inspiró para crear Estudio Laterna Gallery, un refugio de arte en el corazón de la isla de Ibiza, manifestando una nueva perspectiva para la comunidad local y artistas internacionales. Desarrolla otros proyectos creativos como Kossmun, un mobiliario experimental para exteriores.
